Sheffield Wednesday host QPR in the Championship on Saturday.
Sheffield Wednesday welcome QPR to Hillsborough this weekend, as Championship football returns following a two-week break.
It’s been a fairly uneventful two weeks for Danny Rohl’s side, who’ve seen James Beadle train with the England senior team and also make his U21s debut.
Elsewhere, Di’Shon Bernard and Jamal Lowe have been on international duty with Jamaica, leaving behind a relatively large set of first-team players.
Rohl will have been hard at work on the training ground after a poor start to the 2024/25 season which has seen Sheffield Wednesday lose their last three games, with the last being a 3-0 defeat vs Millwall.
Ahead of what is a tough game vs QPR, Rohl has revealed an injury crisis brewing at Wednesday, with Bernard, Michael Ihiekwe, and Dominic Iorfa all potential doubts for the game.
It leaves Rohl extremely light at centre-back, and to make matters worse, there’s another potential doubt in the attacking department too.

Sheffield Wednesday attacker Jamal Lowe now a concern for QPR game
Like Bernard, Lowe has done a lot of travelling during the international break, playing games in the early hours of the morning as well as being on long-haul flights.
Earlier this year, Bernard returned from international duty, only to sustain an injury upon his return.
So Rohl is throwing caution to that, along with Lowe, telling The Star: “When you come very late back as an international player then it is always a question mark.
“We have the cup game again and then we have the next game.”

One Sheffield Wednesday man must be given his chance vs QPR
With Sheffield Wednesday in a rut, and Lowe now looking like a doubt this weekend, Rohl must give a first league start to Olaf Kobacki.
The Polish winger is yet to make his first league start but has started both Carabao Cup games, impressing in the 5-1 win vs Grimsby Town.
He’s an energetic and combative winger and in the position that Wednesday are currently in, a player with such traits could be exactly what they need.
And with Kobacki having yet to start this season, it would throw an element of unpredictability towards QPR, who may not have prepared for the 23-year-old starting.
Whilst a few names look set to miss out vs QPR, it does open the door for others to come in and try to impress.
Kick off is at 3pm on Saturday.
