Sheffield Wednesday attacker Josh Windass has issued a positive message to his teammates.
The Owls’ winless run in the Championship has now stretched to five games following their defeat to Luton Town, which was dictated by a controversial red card handed to Di’Shon Bernard.
Following the red card, Luton Town striker Carlton Morris went on to score two and completely turn around the game, with Danny Rohl’s side eventually falling to a 2-1 defeat.
Despite the result seeing them sit 21st in the Championship table following a lacklustre start to the 2024/25 campaign, there were plenty of positives from the performance, including Barry Bannan notching yet another brilliant finish on the volley, which at the time looked like it could bring all three points home for the Owls.
Sheffield Wednesday attacker Josh Windass has had his say on the 2-1 away defeat against Luton Town, with him making it abruptly clear that he was ‘proud’ of the performance.

Josh Windass shares ‘proud’ message to teammates after Sheffield Wednesday defeat
The Owls were most certainly on track for a brilliant win away from home against a recently relegated Premier League side, and there were some spectacular efforts from Rohl’s side, who kept a clean sheet for 77 minutes of action.
Wednesday star Windass has expressed his delight at his side’s performance against Luton Town as he took to Instagram, where he wrote: “When the outcome doesn’t tell the true story you are content!
“Proud of the boys’ last two games, I’m sure over the season things will as they say ‘Even themselves out’.”

Danny Rohl will take positives from Luton Town defeat
Unfortunately, the game away at Luton Town brought up troubles in front of goal yet again for Sheffield Wednesday, and it has been a clear reason for the Owls’ poor start to the campaign.
However, on the defensive front, Sheffield Wednesday showed no signs of letting their clean sheet slip until Bernard was given his marching orders, and it was most certainly a very resolute performance from Rohl’s side, who were on course for three points against the former Premier League side.
In particular, there were plenty of positives to take from Akin Famewo’s performance at centre-back, who was able to hold his own, despite being handed very little action up to this point in the season.
Options were most certainly light at the back prior to the game, but the defence performed very well and they most certainly deserved the win.
It will be up to Rohl now to complete the necessary task of getting his attackers firing again and increasing the confidence of his strikers, who at this moment look like a shadow of their former selves when they fashion a chance in front of goal.
