Jamal Lowe was given many reasons by a former Sheffield Wednesday player to commit his future to Hillsborough.
Sheffield Wednesday new arrival Jamal Lowe has arrived at Hillsborough with a lot of goalscoring promise ahead of the 2024/25 Championship campaign.
He spent last season on loan at Swansea City, where he managed to score an impressive nine goals, as well as contribute three assists.
His experience will be crucial for Danny Rohl’s side, with the attacker tallying up 186 appearances in the league across six previous seasons in the Championship.
Lowe has already admitted that Rohl was pivotal in him deciding to join the club, with the pair engaging in an hour-long phone conversation prior to the former Bournemouth striker making his decision to join Sheffield Wednesday.
The attacker has now since revealed a former Owls player that convinced him to join Sheffield Wednesday ahead of the new season.

George Byers helped convince Jamal Lowe to join Sheffield Wednesday
Lowe has stated that former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder George Byers was pivotal in the striker deciding to join the club.
Speaking to The Star, Lowe said: “You know what, George actually loves it – he’s actually a fan now. I know he was a Rangers fan before, but I think he now supports Sheffield Wednesday more than Rangers.
“He broke down a lot of things about my game. Things that the team and he do that are exactly the same, as well as stuff that I can add and stuff that I might need to change to work with this team.
“He’s very in-detail, very in-depth, and he never leaves any stone unturned.
“You know what he wants, and if you don’t know then it’s because you haven’t really paid attention. The information is there, he’s giving you the instruction or the stats about it – and that’s really good.”

Danny Rohl’s positive impact on former players can have lasting impact on Sheffield Wednesday
When it comes to Sheffield Wednesday bringing new recruits through the door, they may not necessarily come out on top financially, however the art of persuasion truly lies with the Owls.
There is yet to be a single former Sheffield Wednesday player who has spoken negatively about Rohl ever since he started his tenure at the club.
The German manager has been praised by both old players and new, something that can have an ever-lasting effect on the club and its transfer dealings.
Hillsborough at the moment is a beacon of positivity, and an attractive place for someone at Championship standard to be able to develop their career.
Like Byers did with persuading Lowe to join the club, there will undoubtedly be other former players that would be more than happy to give Sheffield Wednesday a glowing reference after witnessing first-hand the brilliant work that Rohl has done at the club.
