Journalist Dom Howson has shared his thoughts on what the rest of this season might hold for Sheffield Wednesday.
Sheffield Wednesday are currently sitting in 21st place of the Championship table; one place below where they finished last time round.
The Owls beat the drop by the skin of their teeth last season. And whilst many still believe that Wednesday will soon propel up the table, there’s growing fears of another relegation battle.
Sheffield Wednesday have been much-improved in their last two outings but remain winless since the opening day of the season.
And for Danny Rohl, matters don’t get any easier whatsoever this weekend, with Sheffield Wednesday playing West Brom at Hillsborough.
David Prutton has predicted a West Brom win this weekend. Another defeat would keep Wednesday in the bottom three and could even see them move further down the standings.

Dom Howson makes gloomy Sheffield Wednesday prediction
Speaking on Football Heaven, journalist Dom Howson has shared his thoughts on the current state of affairs in S6, and what the season ahead might hold for the Owls.
Howson said: “There is a gulf in class, isn’t there. You just look at some of the squads up there and the attacking quality that they’ve got.
“And I just look at Wednesday’s team right now and they are still a bit short, and so you’re asking Danny Rohl to get the maximum out of this squad, week in week out.”
Speaking about last season’s great escape, Howson added: “I think that’s going to be the case again.
“But you just hope that Wednesday will put enough distance between themselves and the bottom three that come the New Year, we won’t be talking about Sheffield Wednesday in another relegation battle.”

Danny Rohl knows he needs more time at Sheffield Wednesday
Sheffield Wednesday have certainly been dealt a reality check in these opening rounds of the new Championship campaign.
Rohl though may have been expecting another slog this season. Earlier this month, Rohl said he has plans for the next two transfer windows, which suggests that he thinks this first-team squad still isn’t up to scratch.
But Sheffield Wednesday under Rohl have defied the odds already. Howson’s prediction is certainly a gloomy one but there’s still plenty of reason to believe Wednesday can achieve a comfortable mid-table finish this season.
The Owls have been on the wrong end of some poor refereeing decisions in their last two games. But they’ll eventually get their slice of luck.
