A former Sheffield Wednesday boss is starting to feel the pressure as his fortunes in this 2024/25 season go from bad to worse.
There are a few former Sheffield Wednesday managers still plying their trade in the English Football League.
The best performing one right now is Darren Moore who is currently in charge of League Two hopefuls Port Vale.
The former Owls boss took charge of the Valiants at the end of last season, and whilst he couldn’t prevent them from relegation to League Two, Moore and Port Vale are now flying this season, currently sitting 1st in the table.
Elsewhere, Garry Monk is hanging onto his Cambridge United job, having taken over at the Abbey Stadium last season.
Monk and Cambridge United have struggled this season and currently find themselves slumped in 22nd place of the table, and without a win in five league games.
Elsewhere in League One, Steve Bruce is back in the dugout with Blackpool.

Steve Bruce sends plea to Blackpool players amid poor form
Blackpool appointed former Sheffield Wednesday manager Bruce earlier this season, close to two years since his last job.
Before landing the Seasiders job, Bruce was a shock contender for the Jamaica job which Steve McClaren later landed.
So far, Bruce has just six wins from 18 games in charge, with Blackpool losing against Sheffield Wednesday in the Carabao Cup. His side sit in 18th place of the League One table and lost against Birmingham City in the FA Cup last time out.
After the game, Bruce shared his discontent with the players, telling Blackpool Gazette: “We’re not winning enough – we had one against Bristol that can hopefully be a platform.
“What we have been is inconsistent. I could level that at a few injuries, but I don’t want to make that as an excuse.
“We’ve been up and done too quickly. The first half on Sunday in particular disappointed me because we were nowhere near what was required to win any match – we didn’t do the basics well enough.”
Bruce went on to add: “If we get beat, then I’ll accept that, but when we don’t put enough endeavour in – that doesn’t sit well with me.
“We have to find a way to win. You can’t play well every week, but you’ve got to do the basics to give yourself a chance.”

What was Steve Bruce’s record as Sheffield Wednesday manager?
Bruce oversaw the end of the 2018/19 season at Sheffield Wednesday and proved to be a fairly steady manager for the Owls.
He oversaw 18 games and won seven of them (38.9%), with Wednesday going on to finish in 12th place of the Championship table that season.
The 63-year-old left for Newcastle United in July 2019, spending two years at St James’ Park before a brief spell in charge of West Brom in the Championship.
After less than three months at Blackpool, Bruce could quickly come under serious pressure, with the Seasiders in terrible form right now.
