Sheffield Wednesday have two new names on their injury list following the draw against Bristol City.

Sheffield Wednesday continued their decent run of form since the September international break with a 0-0 draw against Bristol City on Wednesday night.

Since the two-week break last month, Danny Rohl’s side have lost just one in four Championship games, with five points taken from a possible 12.

Wednesday claimed their first away point of the season at Ashton Gate, and also their first clean sheet since the opening day of the campaign.

The likes of James Beadle and Di’Shon Bernard impressed on the night. But fans were critical of Ike Ugbo who’s yet to score in the Championship following his £3million move from Troyes.

The game has also given Rohl a couple of fresh injury concerns ahead of the clash away against Coventry City on Saturday.

Liam Palmer and Olaf Kobacki pick up injuries vs Bristol City

Liam Palmer started in defence against Bristol City but was forced off at half-time, whereas Olaf Kobacki came off the bench, only to be brought back off soon after.

Both players have sustained muscle injuries and join an injury list currently containing Dominic Iorfa and Nathaniel Chalobah.

Speaking to The Star after the game, Rohl said of Palmer and Kobacki: “They both have a little bit of problems with the muscle and you never know what it means.

“Sometimes it can be it is just a little stretched and there is a chance for Saturday. But you see on my bench I have more options this season, to have an impact and to see if we need anybody.

“It is now one game and then I look to the schedule after the international break, it will be tough as well.”

Danny Rohl now has juggling act amid Sheffield Wednesday injuries

The injury to Palmer in particular will be frustrating; he’s a player who fills in everywhere having recently played at centre-back due to the lack of options there.

So Rohl will be worried about any more defensive injuries or suspensions whilst Palmer is sidelined.

Kobacki’s injury is less of a worry. Even though he’s a good player who’s been working his way into the side in recent weeks, Rohl has good depth in attack, and Kobacki’s absence will likely mean Anthony Musaba returning to the XI more regularly.

Sheffield Wednesday against Coventry City kicks off at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
