Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl has been praised to the highest order ahead of the clash with Derby County.
The Owls are gearing up to face off with Derby County at Pride Park, where a win will take Sheffield Wednesday just five points away from the top-six.
There is plenty of optimism in-and-around the club after a recent win midweek against Hull City, and Sheffield Wednesday can make it three games unbeaten in the Championship against a side that are without a win in as many games.
The way Sheffield Wednesday have been able to turn the tide of the season after a difficult season certainly comes down to the brilliant man-management by Danny Rohl. This is something that has been recognised now by fellow Championship managers, with one admitting that he is ‘really impressed’ with the Owls boss.

Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl praised by Derby County manager Paul Warne
Many Sheffield Wednesday fans will agree that Rohl has been the focal point behind a period for the club that has seen dampened spirits and an almost-guaranteed prospect of relegation back to League One turned around, and there is no doubt that his talents have caught the eyes of others.
Derby County boss Paul Warne is one who has delivered praise towards the German boss, speaking ahead of the clash with the Owls. Via the Derby County website, he said: “I’ve been really impressed, as everybody has and as their fans have. I’ve watched Sheffield Wednesday play live four times this year. They sing the manager’s name win, lose or draw and they’re a knowledgeable fan base.
“They’re really impressed with him. So, that’s probably the best way I can talk about how well he’s done.”

Paul Warne comments show how much admiration Sheffield Wednesday fans must have for Danny Rohl
Since Rohl took over as boss of Sheffield Wednesday, he has shown to be top when it comes to man-management, and even steadying the ship at a time where there was so much uncertainty over the club’s future.
Rohl has been a breath of fresh air for the Owls fans, who don’t often have so much reason to have such an admiration for their manager, and the fact that Championship managers are speaking up about the German really highlights just how much he has done for the club, as well as the solid link between him and the fanbase.
With results looking positive at this moment, and Rohl still working his magic despite having absentees in-and-around the squad, a win against Derby County would be the cherry on top of the cake for what has been a decent 2024/25 season so far.
