A Sheffield Wednesday favourite is close to reaching what would be a very impressive milestone for the club.
Sheffield Wednesday are back in action this weekend, and back at Hillsborough after a tough trip to Kenilworth Road last time out.
The Owls were beaten 1-0 by Luton Town, owing to some largely controversial refereeing decisions during the game.
Danny Rohl’s side remain winless since the opening day of the season and currently sit in 21st place of the Championship table.
Sheffield Wednesday host West Brom this weekend in what will be another difficult test for the Owls, though there’d be no better team to take a win from than the current league leaders.
The Baggies are unbeaten this season having taken 16 points from a possible 18 so far.
And West Brom may have an eye on Owls skipper Barry Bannan, who’s recently re-discovered his scoring touch with two goals in his last two.

Barry Bannan nearing Sheffield Wednesday milestone
Bannan signed a new Sheffield Wednesday contract in the summer, after his previous deal expired at the end of last season.
But it’s not been an easy campaign for him so far, with Sheffield Wednesday fans critical of Bannan after the opening few games of the season.
Those critics have since been silenced with Bannan having scored a couple of impressive goals in the last couple of games.
Now, the 34-year-old is just one goal or assist away from reaching 100 goal contributions for the Owls; in 411 total appearances for Wednesday, Bannan has 32 goals and 67 assists.
Reacting to the above, journalist Dom Howson posted on X:
Danny Rohl must keep Barry Bannan in scoring form
Speaking to the press ahead of the weekend, Bannan said that the arrival of Shea Charles has allowed him to push forward more, and get more sights at goal.
And with the likes of Josh Windass and Ike Ugbo misfiring at the moment, keeping Bannan scoring is crucial for Rohl.
It’ll keep the likes of Svante Ingelsson on the bench, though that shows the strength in depth that Wednesday have now, but didn’t have last season.
Bannan continues to secure his status as a club legend and hitting 100 goal contributions, which he’ll surely do in the coming weeks, will be a huge achievement for him.
West Brom is going to be another tough slog for the Owls this weekend. But Bannan will no doubt be confident of an upset in front of the Sky cameras.
