Reports in France have revealed the amount that Sheffield Wednesday paid for Yan Valery.
Sheffield Wednesday appear to be splashing the cash this summer, with eight new signings already through the doors at Hillsborough.
Charlie McNeill is the most recent arrival and one of five players to arrive in S6 as free agents, along with Ben Hamer, Jamal Lowe, Svante Ingelsson, and Max Lowe.
Elsewhere, Yan Valery and Olaf Kobacki have been signed for undisclosed transfer fees, whilst James Beadle has arrived on loan from Brighton once again.
Owner Dejphon Chansiri is garnering quite widespread praise for his work at Sheffield Wednesday so far this summer.
The controversial Owls owner saw his popularity levels reach all-time lows last season. But a new contract for Rohl and a strong start to the summer transfer window has eased tension between Chansiri and the Sheffield Wednesday faithful.
Now, it’s been revealed how much Chansiri paid to sign Valery this summer.

Sheffield Wednesday transfer fee for Yan Valery now revealed
Rohl reunited with former Southampton man Valery earlier this summer, with the Tunisian international joining the Owls from French outfit Angers.
Angers had just earned promotion from Ligue 2 with Valery playing a key role, and garnering transfer interest from across Europe.
But Sheffield Wednesday won the transfer race, with the Owls paying an undisclosed fee to sign the 25-year-old right-back.
Now though, an emerging report from French outlet Le Quotidien Du Sport has revealed that Sheffield Wednesday paid Angers €2million (£1.68million) for Valery.

Where does Ya Valery rank among Sheffield Wednesday’s most expensive transfers
Sheffield Wednesday smashed their transfer record in 2017, signing Jordan Rhodes from Middlesbrough in a deal reported to be worth more than £10million.
Adam Reach is the second-most expensive signing at Sheffield Wednesday, joining from Middlesbrough in 2016 for a reported £5million transfer fee.
Names such as Benito Carbone, Gilles De Bilde, Fernando Forestieri, and Gary Hooper feature in the top 10, whilst Valery is now the club’s 24th most expensive signing of all-time.
But Valery is the club’s most expensive signing since the Owls signed Joost van Aken from SC Heerenveen in the summer of 2017.
Valery’s arrival symbolises a change in ambitions from Chansiri at Sheffield Wednesday with the Owls owner clearly wanting to prove his worth to Rohl, and indeed the fans.
With Kobacki having also joined for a fee (which Transfermarkt claim to be £600k), it takes Sheffield Wednesday’s summer spending total beyond £2million.
Few would’ve thought Sheffield Wednesday would spend anything at all this summer, let alone two decent fees on two seemingly decent players.
Again, credit must to go Chansiri.
