Sheffield Wednesday are now facing some fresh competition for one of their January transfer targets.
Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with a handful of players so far this month, with one being Brentford attacker Myles Peart-Harris.
The 21-year-old former Chelsea man made his Premier League debut for the Bees earlier this season, having since featured three times in the top flight.
But an emerging report from TEAMtalk has revealed that Sheffield Wednesday are not the only team keen on signing the attacking midfielder this month, with relegation rivals Huddersfield Town and QPR keen, along with League One hopefuls Portsmouth.

Of the three Championship teams linked with Peart-Harris, Sheffield Wednesday are certainly in the best vein of form and playing the best football now.
And so Brentford will surely view Hillsborough as the best Championship destination for Peart-Harris as he’ll be playing in a very contemporary side under Danny Rohl, which will mould the player to Brentford’s liking.
But Portsmouth could be a dark horse in this particular transfer chase.
Peart-Harris’ only real first-team experience to date was a season on loan with League One strugglers Forest Green Rovers last time round, and Brentford may feel that stepping up to the Championship could be a step too far for Peart-Harris.
But stepping up to the top end of League One with Portsmouth could better suit Peart-Harris at this stage in his career, so it really boils down to what Brentford think is best for the attacking midfielder.
Danny Rohl will be eager to avoid another midfield disappointment
Rohl seems determined to sign a central midfielder this month.
Conor Coventry was one name linked but he’s opted to join League One outfit Charlton Athletic, whilst it’s since been revealed that Rohl fancied Leeds United’s Darko Gyabi before he joined Plymouth Argyle on loan this week.
So Sheffield Wednesday will be eager to avoid another transfer disappointment this month, especially in their pursuit of a new midfielder.
But it’s never easy in the transfer market. Sheffield Wednesday remain in a rather perilous league position and so attracting the best players will remain a struggle.
Peart-Harris certainly looks like a prospect and Brentford will do their due diligence before sending him out on loan; but if they want to send him to the Championship then it sems like Wednesday definitely have a chance of landing him.
