The Sheffield Wednesday rumour mill remains in full swing, despite a lack of arrivals in South Yorkshire.

Danny Rohl may have hoped that more than two new faces would’ve arrived at Hillsborough by this point.

In truth, it seems to have been a tough window for Sheffield Wednesday who’ve missed out on names like Darko Gyabi and Conor Coventry, with the loan arrivals of James Beadle and Ike Ugbo the only signings so far.

There’s still two weeks of the window remaining though and plenty can happen in that time.

Here we round up all the latest Sheffield Wednesday transfer news…

Sheffield Wednesday continue to be linked with a loan move for Brentford’s young attacking midfielder Myles Peart-Harris, described as ‘quality’ by Bees boss Thomas Frank.

But the latest on this story is that Wednesday aren’t the only suitors; Huddersfield Town, QPR, and Portsmouth are all reportedly keen too.

Michael Smith to Debry County edging closer

Michael Smith is a target for Derby County this month, where former Rotherham United boss Paul Warne fancies a reunion with the former Millers man.

And journalist Darren Witcoop has predicted that Smith to Pride Park is a move that will go through this month.

Isaac Hayden in talks with Preston

One name on Sheffield Wednesday’s radar is Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden.

The 28-year-old was wanted by Xisco Munoz in the summer but opted for a move to Standard Liege where he’s since been recalled.

Wednesday links to the midfielder have reignited this month, but it’s now said that Preston are in talks to sign him on loan.

Upon the arrival of Beadle from Brighton, it looked inevitable that Devis Vasquez would then return to parent club AC Milan.

And recent reports have revealed that Wednesday and Milan are in talks over potentially terminating the Colombian’s loan spell at Hillsborough early.

Wednesday eyeing Daniel Gazdag

Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with Philadelphia Union and 23-cap Hungary international Daniel Gazdag.

Joe Crann of The Star says that Gazdag could be ‘available’ on loan after the conclusion of the MLS season; the 27-year-old scored an impressive 15 goals in the MLS last year, assisting a further 10.

Scott Hogan still under consideration

Sheffield Wednesday were linked with Birmingham City striker Scott Hogan in the build up to January.

The link went quiet somewhat, but Alan Nixon recently revealed that Hogan is one of three strikers currently being considered by the Wednesday chiefs.
