Sheffield Wednesday could yet lose manager Danny Rohl to Sunderland this summer.
It’s recently been revealed that Sunderland are interested in Sheffield Wednesday boss Rohl ahead of the summer.
The 34-year-old is reportedly on the Black Cats’ summer wishlist as they head towards another managerial change, following a mixed season in the Championship.
At Hillsborough, it’s been less of a mixed season and more of a dire one.
Although Rohl has helped Sheffield Wednesday to put nearly 40 points on the board this season, his side remain in 23rd place of the table with six games left to play.
Last time out, Sheffield Wednesday lost 2-0 at Middlesbrough.

Rohl is the youngest coach currently in the Football League.
Despite his inexperience though, he’s turning heads in South Yorkshire.
His Sheffield Wednesday side have proved tough to beat, albeit not recently, but in spells the Owls have looked like one of the most potent teams in the entire Championship.
And whilst Sunderland might poach Rohl from S6 in the summer, there could be a few more that follow the German to the Stadium of Light.
Last week, it was revealed that Sunderland would allow their next manager to bring in their own backroom team.
The club’s sporting director Kristjaan Speakman said the next boss could do so, ‘providing it was an appropriate recommendation’

One of the highlights of this season was the quick gathering of a very strong backroom team at Sheffield Wednesday.
Behind him, Rohl has the likes of former England and Spurs coach Chris Powell, former Manchester United performance coach Sascha Lense, and names like Henrik Pedersen as a first-team coach.
And given how well Rohl has worked with his new backroom team, he’d surely be keen to take them to Sunderland in the summer, should he take the job.
Latest Sunderland update is bad news for Dejphon Chansiri
Dejphon Chansiri will surely be aware of possible interest in Rohl ahead of the summer.
But he might have been hoping to at least keep his backroom team in place and maybe even hand the reins to one of Pedersen of Powell in the summer, should Rohl move on.
Sunderland though could poach the entire backroom at Hillsborough this summer and that would leave Chansiri with a huge rebuilding job; not only in the dugout but on he pitch too.
Sheffield Wednesday have 18 players set to leave as free agents or when their deals expire in the summer.
And with no director of football or CEO in place, it’ll prove to be a tremendous job for Chansiri, who’s not shown any footballing expertise to date.
There’s certainly a lot of peril potentially awaiting Sheffield Wednesday in the summer.
