Sheffield Wednesday lost 2-0 away at Middlesbrough on Easter Monday.
Sheffield Wednesday are now winless in their last four Championship games.
Danny Rohl finds his side still in 23rd place of the table and now two points from safety, following up a frustrating 1-1 draw vs Swansea City on Good Friday with a poor performance at the Riverside.
The scoreline absolutely flattered the Owls.
They conceded either side of half-time and saw Middlesbrough miss a penalty in the second half too, with Boro dominating throughout.
As per Sofascore, Boro dominated all facets of Monday’s game; they had 65% of possession, 23 total shots compared to Wednesday’s 6, and an xG of 2.23 compared to Wednesday’s 0.35.
Danny Rohl fumes after Sheffield Wednesday defeat vs Middlesbrough

After the defeat vs Middlesbrough, Rohl was visibly frustrated.
Perhaps more so than we’ve ever seen Rohl after a Sheffield Wednesday game, and understandably so.
Although the scoreline doesn’t paint too bad of a picture, there seemed to be a lack of effort across the board on Monday.
The first goal was down to poor defending and the second was a combination of poor defending and poor work-rate.
Speaking to talkSPORT reporter Alan Biggs after the game, Rohl demanded that his players ‘show up’, and failing that, to ‘be quiet’.
Huge reset needed from Danny Rohl and Dejphon Chansiri
For whatever reason, Sheffield Wednesday heads and efforts seem to have dropped at exactly the wrong time.
They were in such a good place last month when they won four games on the spin, but the performance at Middlesbrough was one of a team who deserve to be in League One.
Ian Poveda retuned to the bench and came on late on, and his return in the coming weeks will be a boost for sure.
But the defence in particular needs to check themselves ahead of a crunch match away at QPR this coming weekend, and Rohl may need to tweak his tactics too.
Sheffield Wednesday perhaps try to go too attacking away from home.
They were limited today and barely had the ball and they might have been better off soaking up that pressure than trying to launch quick attacks with the likes of Anthony Musaba and Djeidi Gassama.
Something certainly needs to change from the defeat vs Middlesbrough though.
Unfortunately, that change might have to wait until the summer when Rohl and Dejphon Chansiri have ample time to bolster and refine the playing squad.
Kick off vs QPR is at 3pm this Saturday.
