The Polish winger showed Sheffield Wednesday fans what was to come after their first pre-season outing.
Danny Rohl saw his side in their first pre-season outing face Alfreton Town on Saturday, which saw an abundance of signings given the opportunity to get some minutes in the tank.
New signings Ben Hamer and Yan Valery were given the opening 45 minutes, as well as Josh Windass who recently committed his future to Sheffield Wednesday ahead of the 2024/25 Championship season.
A total of 11 changes at the interval saw Max Lowe’s first outing in Sheffield Wednesday colours, following his move across the Steel City from Sheffield United, whilst Svante Ingelsson was also given 45 minutes.
New winger Olaf Kobacki was also under the spotlight from Sheffield Wednesday fans having arrived with plenty of promise following a goalscoring spell with 16 goals and seven assists in 37 matches in all competitions last season for Polish outfit Arka Gdynia, and he certainly didn’t disappoint in his first showing for the Owls.

Olaf Kobacki provides instant impact for Sheffield Wednesday
It didn’t take long for Kobacki to impress Sheffield Wednesday fans after their 2-0 win against Alfreton Town, where the Polish winger contributed an assist.
His ball that found Mallik Wilks in the box following a cut onto his favoured right foot was hit inch-perfect, finding the Englishman in space to head in.
His movement prior to the cross was also sublime, showing that there’s no rust on the Pole during pre-season.
The speed in which he shifted onto his right managed to take the full-back out of the game and create a chance for the Owls, when seconds prior he was pinned down by two Alfreton defenders.

For the entire 45 minutes that he was on the pitch, Kobacki was lively down the left-side and was a ‘constant threat‘.
He truly gave us a showcase of his wand of a right foot that Wednesday fans will get familiar with him cutting on to shoot or set up a teammate.
Kobacki clearly hadn’t lost his momentum from last season where he was unstoppable form the left-wing, although consideration must be given to the fact that this was against National League North opposition.
The 22-year-old winger showed Rohl that he is certainly of the quality to warrant a starting position in their first game of the season against Plymouth Argyle at Hillsborough, or at the very least able to compete with Djeidi Gassama and Anthony Musaba for their places.
With Kobacki performing well after just one match, if he kicks on in the rest of pre-season, Rohl could have a real goalscoring asset at the club that could make significant strides this season.
