Sheffield Wednesday pay a lot more attention to their youth academy these days, with Danny Rohl clearly keen on bleeding in the next generation of young Owls.
Before Sheffield Wednesday appointed Danny Rohl in October 2023, the club showed very little faith in their youth academy.
For example, fans will remember was growing cries for Bailey Cadamarteri to be promoted when Xisco Munoz was struggling at the helm last season.
But he never gave him his chance. Rohl did though, unearthing a gem in the process, with several more having made their first-team debuts since.
Now, Rohl has a new Sheffield Wednesday spine in the likes of goalkeeper Pierce Charles, Gabriel Otegbayo, Sean Fusire, and Cadamarteri who’s impressing on loan at Lincoln City this season.
Recently, Sheffield Wednesday handed Junior Kamwa a professional contract after a trial period, and he may have already given Rohl some food for thought.

Junior Kamwa scores on Sheffield Wednesday U21s debut
Sheffield Wednesday’s U21s were in action against Peterborough United on Wednesday afternoon, eventually winning the game 3-1.
And Kamwa was among the scorers in what was his first game for the club since signing a pro deal, along with Bruno Fernandes and Joey Phuthi.
In January, Sheffield Wednesday play Coventry City in the FA Cup in a game that both sides might use to trial some youngsters in the first-team.
And Kamwa, having now signed a pro deal and gotten off to a scoring start with the club, could be someone who works his way into contention for that Coventry game, and then possibly for Championship games later in the campaign.

What’s happened to Joey Phuthi at Sheffield Wednesday?
Another one of the scorers against Peterborough, Phuthi, is someone who Sheffield Wednesday fans will have heard and likely seen in action before.
The 19-year-old winger turned heads last season and eventually made his Championship debut for Sheffield Wednesday.
But he’s yet to feature in any competition for the first-team this season, with Phuthi having undergone surgery earlier in the campaign.
He’s now back in action and scoring goals, and playing in the same position at Kamwa, the pair could be battling it out for a chance to impress in Rohl’s first-team.
Fernandes is also someone who’s scored some spectacular goals for the U21s in the last few months.
Fans will surely hope to see some of their young talents given a run out at some point this season.
