Sheffield Wednesday put up a stunning second half display in their game against Derby County on Sunday, coming from a goal behind to win 2-1.
Sheffield Wednesday have had a couple of good comeback wins live on Sky Sports in the last several weeks now, with the 2-1 win at Derby County almost identical to Sheffield Wednesday’s 2-1 win at Portsmouth in October.
Danny Rohl rung the changes at half-time with his side a goal behind, and Wednesday eventually went on to win 2-1. That was the case at Pride Park on Sunday as well with the win inspired by goals from Barry Bannan and Jamal Lowe in the second half.
During the game at Pride Park, the home crowd were giving Bannan a lot of stick. After sealing the win, Bannan hit back at the Derby County fans and labelled their abuse throughout the game as ‘a bit weird’.
The Scot revealed how he had the laugh laugh on the day. And some comments from Derby’s Kane Wilson has now reaffirmed that Wednesday did indeed have the last laugh.

Derby County’s Kane Wilson felt ‘physically sick’ after Sheffield Wednesday comeback
Speaking to BBC Radio Derby about the defeat against Wednesday, Rams right-back Kane Wilson explained how the defeat was ‘one of the most horrible things’ he’s been a part of in football.
Wilson explained: “I feel physically sick. It’s horrible – one of the most horrible things I have been a part of in football.
“I felt like we were really good for large parts of the game, they are a good team with good players but to lose it like that hurts.”
Sheffield Wednesday’s win at Pride Park now leaves them in 12th place of the Championship table and only five points outside the play-off places, with 10 points separating the Owls and Hull City in the first of the relegation spots.

Paul Warne praise for Danny Rohl at Sheffield Wednesday
Championship fans got another glimpse of Rohl’s magic on Sunday. They saw how his half-time changes swung the game in Sheffield Wednesday’s favour and how all of his players really work hard for him.
The defeat would’ve been tough watching for Rams fans and clearly for the players too, with Wilson’s comments making the Wednesday win that little bit sweeter.
Also, Rams boss Paul Warne’s comments on Sheffield Wednesday and Rohl after the game spoke volumes about the Owls, with the former Rotherham United manager speaking very highly of the Owls boss.
Warne said of Rohl after Wednesday: “I’ve watched Sheffield Wednesday play live four times this year. They sing the manager’s name win, lose or draw and they’re a knowledgeable fan base.
“They’re really impressed with him. So, that’s probably the best way I can talk about how well he’s done.”
Up next for the Owls is a home game against Preston North End on Saturday.
