Sheffield Wednesday take on Sheffield United in the Steel City derby in November, in the first meeting between the two sides since 2019.
Last time Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United met was at Hillsborough in the 2018/19 Championship season.
The game was a goalless draw. In fact, the last three Steel City derbies have been goalless, with the last win coming for the Blades in 2017.
Sheffield Wednesday’s last win against Sheffield United was back in 2012; a 1-0 win in S6 courtesy of a Chris O’Grady goal.
As things stand, the Owls sit in 13th place of the Championship table compared to United in 4th, with seven points currently separating the two.
Sheffield Wednesday play Watford this weekend, then Norwich City in midweek before facing Sheffield United.

Danny Rohl looks ahead to Sheffield United vs Sheffield Wednesday
The two sides meet in S2 next Sunday, with the game obviously sold out and also live on Sky Sports.
Rohl spoke to the press on Thursday ahead of what is a tough Championship match at home against Watford this weekend.
The German also looked ahead to what is his first Steel City derby, and indeed the first for many of his first-team players as well.
Rohl said: “The derby is a special game, the biggest game, we have it back this season and we feel it.”
And Rohl has urged his players to prepare for Sheffield United with good performances against Watford and Norwich City.
He added: “For us now it’s important the next two games leaves us in a good situation with points but we, like the fans, are ready for such a big game and are looking forward.”

The game on Sunday November 11th kicks off at 12:30pm.
As ever, it’s a marquee event for Sky Sports who’ll be broadcasting the game live on Sky Sports Football and on Sky Go too.
When is the next Steel City derby?
Sheffield Wednesday then host Sheffield United on March 15th 2025 in what is currently a Saturday 3pm kick off.
Though it feels very possible that the game is moved in order to be shown live on Sky Sports.
Sheffield Wednesday now have two home games before the cross-city trip to Bramall Lane, marking a week of very little travelling after October saw Wednesday travel to all of Bristol City, Coventry City, Portsmouth, and then Brentford last time out.
The game against Watford kicks off at 3pm on Saturday.
