Sheffield Wednesday came up trumps against Coventry City in the Championship yesterday to claim a superb away victory.
The Owls were forced to come from behind to win the day but a late Shea Charles goal ensured Danny Rohl was jumping for joy at the final whistle.
Wednesday fell behind when Jack Rudoni scored a scrumptious long-range effort that left goalkeeper James Beadle with absolutely no chance.
However, Wednesday rallied and went in at the break on level terms after a goal from Djeidi Gassama in added time at the end of the opening 45 minutes.
Wednesday played brilliantly well during the second half and with just minutes remaining of the added time, got their just rewards.
Charles beat the offside trap to slide home his maiden goal for the Owls, leaving the Sky Blues to look bemused at the assistant referee – who nailed a very tight offside call.
It was a lovely moment for Charles who has played well since signing on loan from Southampton and he will hope more goals can be scored this season.

Rohl left no stone unturned with his recruitment drive during the summer and a domestic loan was used to secure the signing of Charles from Southampton.
The central midfielder has played an instrumental role in the season so far, often deployed as the man to play alongside Barry Bannan in the engine room.
Charles will be looking to add more goals to his game as the season progresses and he does look like a very useful addition to the ranks.
Howson was impressed with the midfielder during Saturday’s huge victory that lifted the Owls to 14th place in the Championship table at the second international break.
He posted on X: “What an impact Shea Charles has made since joining #SWFC. Oozes confidence and class on the ball. Puts himself about out of possession. Is the ideal person to play alongside Bannan.”
Charles and Bannan can lead Wednesday to great things
The young midfielder is highly rated by Southampton and it’s proved a bit of a coup getting him signed on at Hillsborough.
Charles does look like the perfect foil alongside Bannan given that he’s got the energy and guile to support the captain and get high up the pitch.
At 20-years-old the player looks set for a very bright future in the game and the Owls can thrive with him in the team this season.
The beauty of the youngster is that he can get high up the pitch but he’s also not afraid to get stuck in defensively.
Previously in his career, he’s played as a centre-back so doing the ugly stuff isn’t something that he’s afraid of which adds another string to his bow.
Charles collected a booking yesterday and he will be keen to knock that habit on the head and stick to the scoring side of things instead.
Wednesday have hit the jackpot with this particular loan signing and Rohl can take a lot of credit in getting him to Hillsborough this summer.
