Blackburn Rovers boss John Eustace has given his verdict on Sheffield Wednesday ahead of their Championship meeting on Tuesday night.
Sheffield Wednesday are at Hillsborough once again on Tuesday night, where they’ll look to right the wrongs of their previous performance.
Danny Rohl’s side went into their last game against Preston North End on the back of consecutive wins away from home. But the Owls put in a very tired performance.
Rohl was left fuming with his Sheffield Wednesday players after the 1-1 draw against Preston, despite the point eventually leaving the Owls in 9th place of the Championship table.
That’s compared to John Eustace’s Blackburn Rovers who sit in 6th place. Last time out, Rovers won 1-0 at Hull City, having won their last four in the Championship now.

Blackburn Rovers boss John Eustace gives verdict on Sheffield Wednesday
Speaking to the club, Eustace has shared his thoughts on Sheffield Wednesday, speaking highly of what they did during the summer transfer window where they signed 11 new players.
Eustace explained: “They’re a really good team, they’re very experienced and they recruited very well in the summer.
“They’ve really backed the manager there after he kept them up last season and it’s important that we go there full of confidence.
“We know it’s going to be a difficult game but it’s one we’re really looking forward to.”
Eustace then highlighted the experience within the Owls’ first-team squad, with captain Barry Bannan returning for Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday after serving a one-game suspension.
Eustace added: “They have good experience there with the players they’ve brought in and the players who were already there.
“They know what the Championship is all about, they have the experience and the manager’s a very good coach.
“They’re going well and it will be a difficult game.”

Sheffield Wednesday backed to struggle vs Blackburn Rovers
Home form has been an issue for Sheffield Wednesday this season. Despite having had a positive summer transfer window, and boasting a squad full of Championship experience like Eustace says, the Owls have taken just 13 points from a possible 30 at Hillsborough this campaign.
Ahead of the game on Tuesday night, EFL pundit Sam Parkin has predicted another drab affair in S6, predicting a 0-0 scoreline between the two teams.
Sharing his Sheffield Wednesday vs Blackburn Rovers score prediction on the Championship Check-In podcast, Parkin said: “I think Sheffield Wednesday haven’t caught fire in the forward positions.
“I think Blackburn’s strength is still in their make-up of the side, their structure. Obviously they won ugly against Hull in terms of the goal. I will go 0-0. It won’t be the best spectacle.”
Eustace and Blackburn Rovers have held themselves in good stead this season and go into Tuesday’s game in strong form.
Wednesday though will surely give a strong reaction to Saturday’s miserable performance, with a win able to lift them to within two points of the top six.
