Sheffield Wednesday captain Barry Bannan has discussed his future at the club, ahead of his contract expiry this summer.
Sheffield Wednesday see club captain and long-term fan favourite Bannan out of a contract in the summer.
Now in his ninth season at Hillsborough, Bannan has 396 total appearances for the Owls, with 30 goals and 65 assists.
This season has been a struggle for Sheffield Wednesday and at times for Bannan; especially against Middlesbrough last time out where Bannan struggled.
But on the whole, he’s played another starring role for the Owls this season.

Bannan, along with several others, is out of contract in June.
And speaking to Yorkshire Evening Post about his future at the club, Bannan gave this response:
“I’ve not heard anything. I think it’s just a case of knuckling down for these last six games and what will be, will be.”
It’s another vague update form Bannan, who earlier in the season had this to say on his future at Sheffield Wednesday:
“My contract runs out at the end of the season no matter how many games I play or don’t play. That’s the least of my worries, I’m concentrating on trying to perform and trying to win games for the club.”

Sheffield Wednesday appear to be at a breaking point with regards to the playing squad.
The wage bill has been inflated for some time now and for owner Dejphon Chansiri, this summer is perhaps a good time to get some big earners, like Bannan, off the bill.
But Danny Rohl will be desperate to keep his top players.
Rohl has already said he wants to keep Bannan at the club, along with Josh Windass and Di’Shon Bernard, but it’s ultimately down to money, and Chansiri.
And whether or not the club has the resources to keep players like Bannan on board for another year remains to be seen.
At 34 years old as well, Bannan might well feel like he wants another challenge in his career before he calls time.
Leaving at the end of this season, if the Owls beat the drop, would certainly be going out on a high for Bannan, though he seems like the kind of character to stick around should matters worsen and Wednesday get relegated.
The Owls return to Championship action with a trip to QPR this weekend, with kick off at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
