Sheffield Wednesday drew 1-1 with Swansea City in the Championship on Friday.
Sheffield Wednesday returned to Championship action against Swansea City on Friday afternoon.
The two-week international break came at a good time for Danny Rohl‘s side who went into the break on the back of successive defeats, with the last being a 6-0 defeat vs Ipswich Town.
Good Friday saw the Swans journey to Hillsborough where they looked to build on some positive form of late, with one defeat in five before their game vs Sheffield Wednesday
But it was the Owls who struck first today.
Wednesday were largely on the backfoot in the first half but got their bit of luck when a corner found its way to Bailey Cadamarteri inside the box, with the 18-year-old prodding the ball home.
And Sheffield Wednesday looked to be on their way to another vital victory until Jamal Lowe struck for Swansea in the second, very much against the run of play.
Wednesday did their best to get back in front and had their chances, though none were converted.

There was a few standout performers today.
In the absence of Barry Bannan, Will Vaulks put in a commanding performance in the middle of the park, whilst Marvin Johnson and Pol Valentin looked lively on the flanks.
And the Owls stood up to everything Swansea had to throw at them, too.
Swansea play nice football and gave the Owls plenty of issues throughout, with James Beadle having a busy afternoon, SOFASCORE.
And one of Beadle’s saves came shortly after the break.
Swansea started the second half in quick fashion and a volley from Jamie Paterson on the edge of the box brought out a flying save from Brighton loan man Beadle in the 53rd minute.
The save caught the eye of journalist Joe Crann, who posted on X:

Sheffield Wednesday’s chances of re-signing Beadle have already been rated.
Journalist Alan Biggs suggested that a permanent deal would be well off the cards, but hinted that a loan deal could be realistic.
Though it would require Championship football and likely Rohl staying at Sheffield Wednesday; Sunderland have recently been linked with Rohl.
But once again, Beadle showed why he’s so highly-rated as a goalkeeper.
With every game he seems to be improving as a shot-stopper and his saves today kept Sheffield Wednesday in the game.
With his passing ability too, he’s someone who really suits and compliments the style of play at Sheffield Wednesday, who’ll surely be desperate to get Beadle back in for next season.
As things stand, youngster Pierce Charles is the only goalkeeper on the books for next season, with Cameron Dawson out of contract.
