Sheffield Wednesday host Blackburn Rovers in the Championship this afternoon.
Sheffield Wednesday are back at Hillsborough where they welcome an injury-stricken Blackburn Rovers side today.
Rovers have had some key injuries throughout the season but currently find themselves in 7th after an impressive 4-2 win over Birmingham City last time out, with the club having won three of their last four now.
And Sheffield Wednesday go into today’s game on the back of a strong result too.
Danny Rohl oversaw a memorable 1-1 draw with Leicester City in midweek but the Owls remain in last place of the table, and already 12 points adrift.
The last time Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn Rovers met was towards the end of the 2020/21 Championship season, with the Owls winning 1-0 at Hillsborough courtesy of a Josh Windass goal.

Blackburn loan man John Buckley is ineligible to feature in this one, but Josh Windass is available again after serving a one-match suspension.
Michael Smith has missed the last three now and Rohl was cautious to say whether or not he’ll be available for today’s game.
Momo Diaby and Juan Delgado remain longer-term absentees for the Owls.
Sheffield Wednesday predicted XI
One key change that Owls fans have been calling for is Cameron Dawson to be replaced by Devis Vasquez in goal.
And there’s still a case to be made here, but after Dawson’s last minute heroics vs Leicester, his spot may be safe for another game.
Elsewhere, the Wednesday defence held up well against Leicester and so we may not see any changes there, or in attack for that matter.
The 33-year-old Marvin Johnson didn’t do too much in the midweek game and so he could be one who’s replaced, with a few options to come in on the left; Anthony Musaba or Djeidi Gassama, or maybe even Windass.
And whether or not Bailey Cadamarteri starts again remains to be seen; he impressed vs Leicester and fans would no doubt love to see him start again, but Rohl may be fearful of over-exposing the 18-year-old too quickly.
But it’s clear that Rohl is a huge admirer of Cadamarteri, saying on the striker:
“He is the future for our club and it’s so important to see his improvement in the last weeks.”
