Danny Rohl has provided an update of the availability of Josh Windass and George Byers ahead of Sheffield Wednesday’s return to action.
Sheffield Wednesday have struggled massively with injuries over the past couple of months.
George Byers is yet to feature for The Owls this year, having suspended following a red card against Preston, before missing out on the FA Cup draw with Coventry City due to illness.
Josh Windass was also absent for the clash with Mark Robins’ side, with Danny Rohl previously revealing he was spending time working on an individual training programme to keep him fresh ahead of the final months of the campaign.
Sheffield Wednesday are now preparing for an important fixture against Watford tonight, with the Yorkshire outfit looking to close the gap between themselves and safety back to three points.
The Owls will need to be at their best against the tenth-place Hornets, but it does look like they will be handed a huge advantage with the return of Windass and Byers.
Speaking to The Star, Rohl said: “They will be available.
“Josh showed in the last weeks that he is very important for us, he will be ready for this game and he will be minimum one more player to be in the squad and the starting 11. It will be a tough game again, they are a strong side with a good run.
“I played there the first time, my first game as manager at Watford I think we were very close to one another, now it is more. We can take something and next week is important with two games, home and away. We will be ready.”

George Byers has been heavily linked with a move away this month, but his commitment to the club is undeniable and he will be eager to put on a solid performance in what could be his last game for the club.
Meanwhile, Josh Windass looks set to stay at Hillsborough and his return to the starting line-up will be a huge boost for Sheffield Wednesday.
The 30-year-old has four goals and one assist in the 12 appearances he has made under Danny Rohl, proving himself to be a key part in The Owls’ bid for survival.
His future beyond the summer remains unclear, but there is no denying that he is vital to what Rohl is trying to do at the minute.
