A Sheffield Wednesday player has interest from ‘at least three’ teams in the Premier League, as well as teams in the Championship.
The Sheffield Wednesday first-team looks set to undergo some drastic changes this summer, with the initial changes having already taken place.
The Owls left go of several first-team players via their retained list last month, with George Byers’ exit as a free agent being the standout.
Lee Gregory and Reece James have found new clubs whilst goalkeeper Cameron Dawson is reportedly in talks with Bristol Rovers, following the arrival of Ben Hamer.
Hamer, 36, joins as a free agent following his release at Watford last month, becoming Danny Rohl’s first permanent signing as Sheffield Wednesday manager.
The Owls look set to make many more signings this summer. But Rohl could also face a battle to keep some of his key players.
Now, it’s been revealed that Sheffield Wednesday striker Bailey Cadamarteri has interest from the Premier League and from elsewhere in the Championship.

Cadamarteri, 19, has just capped his breakthrough 2023/24 season with a couple of appearances for England’s U20 side in friendlies against Sweden and Republic of Ireland.
The Sheffield Wednesday academy graduate made his Championship debut last season, bursting onto the scene under Rohl and eventually making 23 appearances in the second tier, scoring four goals.
Now though, an emerging report from The Star has revealed that Cadamarteri has interest from ‘at least three Premier League outfits’ after the summer transfer window opened on Friday.
The same report also states that Cadamarteri, who penned a long-term contract until 2028 in December, ‘has admirers in the Championship’.

There’s no doubting that Cadamarteri has enjoyed a strong debut season in the Sheffield Wednesday first-team, and that he’s a player with huge potential.
He’s a natural goal-scorer and a hard-working player for the team. But if a Premier League team comes in with a suitable offer then it may be difficult for owner Dejphon Chansiri to turn it down.
The Owls remain in a tough financial situation. Rohl and Chansiri also need extra funding to help rebuild the first-team this season, so selling an asset like Cadamarteri may make financial sense.
Rohl though will surely be eager to keep hold of the young striker, and build a team around him and some of the other emerging Owls talents.
If Cadamarteri is kept around and given some more first-team exposure next season, then this time next year, his transfer value could easily double.
It’s a tough one for the club to weigh up. But interest in his services is certainly a credit to him.
