Sheffield Wednesday look set to bring in a striker next month as they vie to stay in the Championship.
Dejphon Chansiri is reportedly ready to splash out on a loan striker, and Birmingham City’s Scott Hogan has been linked with a potential move to Hillsborough.
The 31-year-old has fallen out of favour at St Andrew’s with new boss Wayne Rooney not fancying the former Aston Villa and Brentford hitman.
Hogan though is a proven Championship scorer and a good potential option for the Owls.

Some Sheffield Wednesday fans may remember Hogan from the last time they their team were in the Championship.
The Owls welcomes Birmingham City to Hillsborough in February 2021 and Hogan was the only scorer in a 1-0 win for Blues that day.
Hogan showed his prowess and poacher-like attributes to get on the end of a cross and flick the ball past Kieren Westwood in the Wednesday goal, shrugging off the powerful Chey Dunkley in the process.
Birmingham Live described Hogan’s performance as ‘clinical’ that day, adding that the striker ‘did all the dirty work’ to help his side claim an important three points.

Hogan shares a lot of similar attributes to Bailey Cadamarteri.
Sheffield Wednesday’s emerging star leads the line and puts in the work-rate, doing so against Norwich City last night as he netted his second league goal for the club.
But Danny Rohl will know that he can’t rely on the 18-year-old throughout the entirety of the campaign.
Whilst Cadamarteri is showing no signs of inexperience or fatigue, it’s a long season, and it’ll be both physically and mentally draining for the youngster.
So having a similar player to rotate and give competition to Cadamarteri could be ideal for Wednesday, and Hogan would do just that.
He’s vastly experienced at Championship level; he’s been a consistent source of goals for Birmingham City over the past few seasons and although he’s fallen out of favour, he remains a top player and he could be re-energised by a temporary move away from the club.
Sheffield Wednesday return to Hillsborough this weekend for a crunch match against fellow strugglers QPR, with kick off at 3pm.
