Sheffield Wednesday have gone almost two weeks without making a transfer.
It’s been an extremely busy summer for the Owls so far and this is their first bit of peace and quiet since the transfer window opened.
However, Sheffield Wednesday are still looking to add their tenth signing in the coming weeks.
Danny Rohl has bolstered almost every part of his squad so far, but is clearly still eager to add a senior striker to his ranks.
The German has already welcomed Charlie McNeill to Hillsborough, but the 20-year-old is yet to play in the Championship and certainly won’t be expected to lead the line.
Wednesday have made their intentions clear since before the transfer window opened, with their main focus being to re-sign Ike Ugbo.
The Canadian netted seven goals in 18 matches for the Yorkshire outfit last term and is reportedly eager to return to the club.

His future remains in the hands of Troyes though, who have now given the biggest hint yet that he will leave France before deadline day.
According to journalist Alex Miller, there is now ‘absolutely no doubt’ that Ugbo will leave Troyes after he was left out of their pre-season squad.
The Ligue 2 club are set to take on Auxerre in a friendly next week, but the striker won’t be participating as he looks to push through a move to Wednesday.
The Owls can’t miss this opportunity to sign a striker
It comes as no surprise that Troyes will sell Ugbo, and while certainly a boost, it doesn’t guarantee anything for the Owls.
There is huge competition for the 25-year-old’s signature, and with his market value currently sitting at around £2.4m, Wednesday will have to pay upwards of that figure to bring him back.
The Championship club have so far only paid fees for Olaf Kobacki and Yan Valery, though both were only six figures.
Ugbo would be their most costly signing in years, but there is no doubting that he would be worth it.
The forward made a huge contribution to their survival with his goals and could well be just as effective in helping them challenge for the play-offs.
The transfer market is massively inflated at the minute, and with every club in the Championship seemingly wanting a striker, Wednesday were always going to have to cough up millions to sign a proven goal-scorer.
They have an advantage in this race with Ugbo wanting to join the club, but if they fail to sign him then they face an even bigger challenge if they have to look elsewhere.
