Sheffield Wednesday have tied down Bailey Cadamarteri to a new contract, but that doesn’t mean they don’t need a new striker.
The Owls’ five strikers only have six goals between them this season, while the team have the lowest goal tally in the whole Championship.
It was recently reported that Dejphon Chansiri was preparing to cough up the cash for a £30,000-a-week striker in January, as he looked to help secure their future in the second tier.
Scott Hogan is the latest name to be linked with a move to Hillsborough, with the 31-year-old only managing 67 minutes of action in Birmingham City’s last eight games.

Kieffer Moore
Kieffer Moore is a proven goal scorer, having scored 29 goals in 68 games in his last two seasons in the Championship.
The Wales international has five Premier League goals to his name too, but has really struggled for minutes this term.
Moore could look for regular first team football in January, especially if there is still the possibility of Wales reaching EURO 2024.
The attacker is said to earn around £15,000-a-week at Bournemouth – half of Chansiri’s budget.
Sam Gallagher
Sam Gallagher could face the chopping block at Blackburn Rovers, with Stoke City and Coventry linked in the summer.
The forward has 57 Championship goals to his name, but has fallen out of favour at Ewood Park.
Gallagher has made only two league starts this season and could be on his way out, with his contract expiring next summer.
It’s unclear how much Gallagher would cost, though it is thought that he earns around £14,500-a-week.
Joe Gelhardt
Joe Gelhardt looked a really exciting young player as Leeds United were relegated last season, though his only loan spell away with Sunderland got mixed reviews. He claimed three goals and three assists for the Black Cats, but spend most of the stint as a lone striker after Ross Stewart picked up a season-ending injury.
The 21-year-old has made only five appearances in the Championship this term and is now expected to be subject to a number of loan bids in January, with Hull City reportedly top of the list.
Gelhardt earns around £15,000-a-week at Elland Road, though Sheffield Wednesday may not have to pay his full wages if he joined on loan.
