Results went in Sheffield Wednesday’s favour on Tuesday evening as Rotherham were beaten by Brentford and Derby County drew with Coventry.

The Owls now have to make those results count by getting something on Wednesday evening, but that may be easier said than done as they face Reading at Hillsborough.

The Royals haven’t been in the best form as of late, picking up just four points in their last five games, but their eight wins in 14 this term show that they shouldn’t be underestimated.

If the Owls are to get anything against the Berkshire outfit Tony Pulis will need to field the right team, and we’ve had a go at predicting how the Yorkshire outfit will line-up on Wednesday night.

Sheffield Wednesday’s predicted XI against Reading.

There aren’t too many changes to discuss here.

We think that Pulis will go with the same back five that started against Stoke, after all, they managed to keep a clean sheet against the Potters, so there’s not much point in rotating at the back.

We still expect Pulis to go with a midfield five, but we think there will be a change in there with Izzy Brown coming in for 19-year-old Liam Shaw, who started against Stoke.

Brown partners Massimo Luongo and Barry Bannan in the middle of the park, while Adam Reach and Kadeem Harris start on the wings.

Up top, Callum Paterson starts as Josh Windass serves the final game of his three-match ban, while Jordan Rhodes is seemingly out of favour at the club, being subbed off shortly after coming on against Stoke.
