Djeidi Gassama has been explaining what he thought about Hillsborough when he first signed for Sheffield Wednesday. The winger checked in earlier this week and could make his debut against Preston on Saturday.
Gassama has risen through the youth ranks at PSG. He made a single appearance for the Ligue 1 outfit, coming on in the closing stages of a game to make his debut.

Now, the time has come for him to sample first-team football on a regular basis. The move to the Owls comes on the back of last season when he played for Belgian outfit KAS Eupen, scoring twice and claiming two assists.
Gassama is getting familiar with his new surroundings. Ahead of a possible debut for the player, he’s been discussing what he felt about the famous Hillsborough when he first had a look around the stadium.
He told the club’s official website: “When I visited the stadium when I signed, it was amazing, and it made me want to score there!

“I like to score goals, take risks and show some skills. The coach wants to help me learn and level up and I have a lot of determination to give my all.
“I’m a happy guy and I look forward to meeting the supporters and having a good relationship and giving my all for them.”

It would seem as though the latest player to sign for the Owls is a bit of a character. He’s barely had a smile off his face since he signed and ultimately, he looks like being a fan favourite.
Naturally, the player will have to prove himself with his performance levels. That is how football works and he will hope to score goals and set plenty up during his time with Wednesday.

Xisco Munoz desperately needs his team to get going. They’ve lost both of their Championship fixtures so far this season – and needed penalties to knock League Two outfit Stockport out of the Carabao Cup.
Gassama could be the difference maker though. As a result, it will be exciting to see him get going at the weekend against Preston.
