Djeidi Gassama has checked in at Sheffield Wednesday this week. He’s been busy getting acclimatised to his new surroundings and some exciting footage from training has emerged.
Wednesday made their ninth summer signing when they landed the winger from PSG. The player actually played for the senior ranks in France but it was a very short cameo from the bench.

Gassama spent last season on loan with Belgian outfit KAS Eupen. There, he scored twice and claimed two assists from 20 appearances in the senior ranks.
The Owls will now hope to get the very best out of the talented PSG academy graduate. He can operate on the left wing or through the middle as a centre-forward.
At 19-years-old, the future looks really bright for the youngster. The challenge for Xisco Munoz is to quickly get him up to speed and get him winning points for Wednesday.

The Owls have been underwhelming so far this season. They lost 2-1 to Southampton on the opening day of the season in spirited style but last weekend they were beaten 4-2 by Hull City.
Wednesday needed penalties to get past League Two outfit Stockport County in the Carabao Cup too. It was a lethargic performance and the energy from Gassama could help.
Gassama spotted in exciting Wednesday training clip
This looks like a good signing for Wednesday, certainly if the training clip is anything to go by that’s been shared by French journalist Lassana Camara.
In the clip, the Owls are doing a drill that involves doing attack against defence. Gassama clearly loved it and terrorised his teammate.
The teenager raced towards the defender who was backtracking immediately. He then dropped his shoulder and planted a wonderful effort beyond an outstretched goalkeeper.
Wednesday take on Preston on Saturday looking for a first Championship point since they won promotion. Given how Gassama is training, it would be no surprise to see his name on the team sheet at 2pm.
