Sheffield Wednesday fans were left gob-smacked by something that happened in the draw against Swansea City on Tuesday.
Sheffield Wednesday played out a rather boring 0-0 draw against Swansea City at Hillsborough, leaving the Owls in 17th place of the Championship table.
The game did have several talking points though, one being Svante Ingelsson who received criticism from Sheffield Wednesday fans for his performance.
Danny Rohl also questioned Ingelsson’s missed chance for Sheffield Wednesday in the first half, with the Owls recording zero shots on target on the night.
But one player who earned some plaudits was James Beadle.

Sheffield Wednesday fans hail James Beadle after ‘world-class’ save
Beadle only needed to make the one save against Swansea, with the Swans recording the only shot on target during the game.
The shot forced what was actually a fine save from Beadle. But the touch was so deft that many didn’t notice until after the game, when a fresh camera angle showed the touch.
Needless to say, it garnered a reaction from fans, who commented ‘world-class save’, ‘saved us a point’, and ‘brilliant save’.
Another fan posted on X: “Wow. I didn’t realise he got a touch, couldn’t tell from where I was sitting. Amazing reflexes.”
Beadle isn’t immune to criticism, with fans having had mixed reviews about the Brighton loan man earlier this season.
Overall, though, he’s a fine goalkeeper. Another fan added after seeing that save: “Genuinely don’t understand how I see him getting pelters most weeks… Honestly wonder what game they’re watching.”
A similar comment read: “Someone will still find a way to slate him, saved us a point tonight.”
