Sheffield Wednesday defeated Plymouth Argyle 1-0 last night to go level on points with the four teams directly above them and Will Vaulks was once again magnificent.
The Owls won thanks to a second-half goal by Djeidi Gassama and Danny Rohl has now got all systems go in his fight to lead Wednesday to Championship survival.

Well, it would appear as though the midfielder is enjoying a bit of a renaissance at Hillsborough, given that Vaulks was linked with a Wednesday exit previously.
The 30-year-old has now become integral under Rohl and has started the last five games, with Wednesday winning four of them.
Last night, Vaulks showcased once again what he’s all about and the statistics back up that his Wednesday performance was top-drawer once again.
Who Scored showed that he had 98 touches of the ball – more than any player on the pitch and also made seven tackles.
Vaulks wasn’t done there and he also won all four of the aerial duels he contested and completed four interceptions from the middle of the park.
Wednesday report Joe Crann from The Star was pleased with the performance of Vaulks last night calling him a ‘proper leader of men lately, and deserves every plaudit he’s getting’.
Vaulks could earn new contract on current form
The 30-year-old will be out of contract in the summer and he’s playing like someone who is desperate to remain at Hillsborough.
Last night, the seven-time Wales midfielder was in fine form and he’s been showcasing sound performances for weeks.
Vaulks was a key member of the Wednesday team that won promotion to the Championship last season and saw a goal disallowed in the Play-Off Final.
It’s quite refreshing to see a player who was linked with an exit earlier this season produce the goods that the midfielder has.
Wednesday need every player available between now and the end of the season and with Vaulks in this sort of form, he’s going to be especially important to Rohl’s plans.
