The Sheffield Wednesday centre-back Chey Dunkley was pictured in training on Tuesday.

Dunkley signed for Wednesday after his Wigan Athletic deal expired in the summer, but has yet to play for the Owls owing to the broken leg he suffered in February.

But the 28-year-old is on course to return, it seems – though is unclear when and where that may be.

Dunkley could be seen on Wednesday’s official Instagram page earlier, doing what appears to be running work.

It is unclear however if he took part in contact training with his teammates – and there was no clear sign of him having done so in any of the footage from Monday’s session.

The same applies another two Wednesday centre-backs, Dominic Iorfa and Joost van Aken, which may be a concern to the new Owls manager Tony Pulis – who is already without Aden Flint for the foreseeable future – ahead of his first game in charge at Preston North End on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Wednesday Under-23 team full-backs Josh Dawodu and Ryan Galvin were present on both days at Middlewood Road.

Neither Dawodu nor Galvin have appeared for the Owls at first-team level.
