The dark days of Tony Pulis’ Sheffield Wednesday tenure are not at all remembered fondly in S6.
Tony Pulis goes down as the second-worst Sheffield Wednesday manager in history, statistically speaking, claiming just one win in 10 games in charge.
The experienced Welshman came in as the Owls were struggling near the foot of the Championship table in the 2020/21 season but couldn’t steer the club from danger.
Pulis took charge in the November but was gone by the end of December. Darren Moore then came in, overseeing relegation but eventually steering the club to promotion from League One.
Xisco Munoz now boasts the worst record of any Sheffield Wednesday manager. Munoz replaced Moore at Sheffield Wednesday in the summer of 2023, winning none of his 12 games in charge before Danny Rohl arrived at Hillsborough.
Former Sheffield Wednesday star Kadeem Harris lands new club
One player from those Pulis days was Kadeem Harris. And Pulis was a huge fan of Harris at Sheffield Wednesday, labelling him as a ‘quality’ player.
Harris, now 31, joined Sheffield Wednesday on a free transfer in the summer of 2019 after his release at Cardiff City, going on to score on his debut in a 3-1 win at Reading on the opening day of the 2019/20 season.
The Englishman made 88 total appearances, scored three goals and grabbed nine assists during his two years at Sheffield Wednesday, leaving as a free agent in 2021.
Now after several years playing outside of England, Harris is back in the English Football League, and he’s made his debut for the League Two club just hours after his signing was announced.
Harris was a free agent and has signed a deal until January with Carlisle.

Kadeem Harris career so far
Harris joined Ukrainian outfit Metalist Kharkiv after leaving Hillsborough, spending one season there before he moved to Turkey where he’d spend the next couple of years.
In Turkey, Harris played for all of Tuzlaspor (on loan), Samsunspor, Bandırmaspor, and Şanlıurfaspor, but never really made a huge impression for any of them.
He did however help Samsunspor win the Turkish second tier title in 2022. Now though, he’ll look to help Carlisle break out of the fourth tier of English football.
In his career so far, Harris has 138 Championship appearances with eight goals and 14 assists, being able to play on both the left and right flanks.
Harris could yet be a quality signing for Carlisle United who are playing Salford City on Saturday afternoon.
