Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl has reacted on Instagram after last night’s 1-1 draw against Leicester City.

The Owls defied the odds in their latest Hillsborough clash and in truth, it should have been all three points!

Rohl’s team could have been ahead after 25 seconds when Wednesday skipper Barry Bannan fired wide.

Leicester opened the scoring midway through the second half. Abdul Fatawu fired home following a lapse in concentration defensively.

After a battling second half, Wednesday got their just rewards in the 93rd minute. Jeff Hendrick pounced to score his first Owls goal and send Hillsborough wild.

Wednesday richly deserved their point against the runaway leaders in the Championship.

Rohl did a lap of the pitch after the game and clearly, he was satisfied with the backing his team received from the stands.

The German manager is in his first position as the main man in the dugout and the performances have been better than the results.

This was the kind of game that epitomised the Championship. Wednesday had just six points before last night, with Leicester well clear at the top.

Rohl was delighted with his team, however, and posted a seven-word message on Instagram afterwards that said: “Believe until the end! Great team performance!”

Wednesday have to show they’ve turned the corner

This result could become even better if the team can beat Blackburn at home on Saturday.

Wednesday have to go on a little run between now and Christmas to give themselves a fighting chance.

Rohl has done plenty of good things since he replaced Xisco Munoz at Wednesday but he hasn’t reaped the rewards in terms of points.

That has to be the next port of call for Rohl and he knows that strong performances could for little now.
