Danny Rohl remains a fan favourite at Sheffield Wednesday as he gets into the flow of his first full season at the club.
The German head coach arrived in October 2023 and went onto secure the Owls’ Championship status for a further year.
Rohl went onto sign a new contract with Sheffield Wednesday and recruited ten new additions, with many tipping the club for a top half finish.
Wednesday went onto thrash Plymouth Argyle 4-0 in their opening fixture, but have since conceded six goals and scored none in their following two games.
Despite their drop off in form, fans remain hugely supportive and have continued to show their love for the 35-year-old in and out of Hillsborough.

Sheffield Wednesday fans show ‘great positive energy’
Rohl has shared his appreciation for his supporters on many occasions and has now explained a story of when he met some ‘crazy’ Wednesday fans.
Speaking on Sky Sports Essential EFL podcast about the support, Rohl said: “I think it’s always positive. Yeah, at first they say thank you for all the achievements. Then some fans are, I would say, crazy! Yeah, they stopped while driving the car. They stopped and they jumped out of the car and want to take pictures. And that’s a good feeling.
“I think this is great, great, positive energy. But I know for this energy, I take the responsibility. I demand a lot. I know as well, football is about results. And if you have the right results, then it’s easier to support the manager. And if you don’t have, then it gives also some times where it’s different.
“But at the moment, I really enjoy this atmosphere here. I enjoy the football club, I enjoy my team, and I’m really looking forward to every game at the moment.”

Rohl has been a great success at Wednesday and the recent results certainly aren’t the only times that spirits may have looked a little deflated.
There was a number of occasions last season when the team endured a number of losses and looked destined for relegation, but he helped turn things around very quickly.
The new season has only just started and it is very clear that fans are so far from turning against him, as things were never expected to be perfect straight away.
The Owls have brought in so many new senior players and while many of them have experience in English football, it takes time for them to gel and also adapt to Rohl’s high demands and new tactics.
The team aren’t the only ones learning on the job either, with the head coach experiencing his first spell in senior management.
Rohl has plenty of time to pick up a run of wins and it feels like once that happens, things will begin to click and they can really push on.
It is not just Rohl that is guiding the club to new success, it is also the fans playing a key role in pushing the team on week in week out.
An exciting new era is blooming in Yorkshire and there is no doubt that the German has bags of support to be able to reach his ambitions at the club.
