Bailey Cadamarteri’s younger brother has been catching the eye at Sheffield Wednesday.

The older of the pair broke into the scene at the start of last season, when Danny Rohl promoted him to the first-team.

Bailey went onto score four goals for Sheffield Wednesday in his first Championship campaign but struggled for starts towards the end.

Following the arrivals of Ike Ugbo, Jamal Lowe and Charlie McNeill, the 19-year-old was sent out on loan to Lincoln City.

He has left behind his brother, Caelan-Kole, who also seems to be making a name for himself.

The youngster was only playing with the Owls’ U14s team earlier this year, having scored 70 goals during the 2022-23 season for the U13s.

However, he has very quickly come up through the age groups and is now featuring for the U18s – despite just approaching his 15th birthday.

Caelan-Kole is playing way above his age group

Cadamarteri seems to be unfazed by playing with players much older than him and has continued to bang goals in for fun this term.

The teenager netted another brace as Wednesday enjoyed a 4-2 win over Charlton over the weekend, and journalist Joe Crann has been left impressed by Bailey’s sibling.

He wrote on X: “It’s crazy how quickly Cadamarteri has started scoring after stepping up to the U18s.”

He has already scored five goals for U18s in the last month, having played for the U16s over the summer.

The Cadamarteris could be the future of Sheffield Wednesday

His older brother had also looked an extremely exciting talent in Wednesday’s academy, but it could well be that Caelan-Kole is an even bigger talent.

The forward has been playing for the U18s at only 14 years old and still has so many years ahead of him. If he keeps up this pace then fans could see him making his senior debut before he becomes an adult.

The Owls would be very lucky if they were able to keep both brothers in years to come, because they both clearly have a lot of potential and could be the future of Wednesday’s attack.

It’s been a while since Wednesday have enjoyed any major talents emerging from their academy and fans would certainly be delighted if it is these two who begin to really shine.
