Sheffield Wednesday came from behind to claim a valuable three points in the Championship during a Friday night clash against Portsmouth.
A mammoth trip to the South Coast had looked like going awry for the Owls when Connor Ogilvie fired the hosts into a first-half lead right on the stroke of the interval.
Wednesday came out with the words of Danny Rohl ringing firmly in their ears, however, and grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck during the second half.
Michael Smith scored a goal that wouldn’t have looked out of place in one of Europe’s top leagues to restore parity before Josh Windass grabbed the winner with 20 minutes to go.
Wednesday are making progress with Rohl at the helm. In the summer, his recruitment was largely impressive and once again loan signing Shea Charles was in fine form with the Owls on Friday.

Shea Charles reacts on Instagram as Sheffield Wednesday win away at Portsmouth
The youngster was once again handed a start in a central midfield role by Rohl and he does seem to work well in tandem with Barry Bannan.
Charles has featured in every game for Wednesday since making a season-long loan switch from Southampton before the transfer window closed.
After Friday’s 2-1 win, he posted on Instagram a cheeky message in the direction of Portsmouth fans given that they’re big rivals of his parent club.
He said: “Nice win on the south coast. Thank you to all the travelling fans.”
Barry Bannan and Charlie McNeill react to performance of Shea Charles
It would appear that the youngster is a popular player inside the dressing room at Hillsborough and he was singled out for some praise on his latest social media post.
Barry Bannan posted the two words, ‘some player’, and having shared the midfield engine room with him that is quite the compliment.
McNeill is waiting patiently for a chance to really make his mark at Wednesday and he posted the word ‘wow’ in response to his message.
Charles made international appearances for Northern Ireland earlier this month and clearly the boy has a bright future.
Already, it feels like Rohl will need to do whatever he can to bring Charles to South Yorkshire on a more permanent basis in the summer.
