Sheffield Wednesday came from behind to beat QPR in the Championship this afternoon.
Sheffield Wednesday returned to Hillsborough where they welcomed an out of sorts QPR side, in what was a huge game at the foot of the table.
Both came into this game in improved form under their respective new bosses, though it was Danny Rohl who came out on top.
After trailing for much of the game owing to a Bambo Diaby own goal in the first half, the Owls mounted a late comeback, scoring first through Bailey Cadamarteri and then Anthony Musaba right at the death.
The win leaves Sheffield Wednesday in 23rd but now just six points adrift after Huddersfield Town drew against Millwall.

Once again, Cadamarteri steals the headlines.
Although Musaba will gain rightful credit for scoring yet another important, match-winning goal, it was Cadamarteri’s energy and hard work in attack that arguably kept Sheffield Wednesday in this game.
After signing a new deal earlier in the week, reportedly keeping him at the club for another four-and-a-half years, the 18-year-old netted what is his third Championship goal of the season and his second in the space of a few days.
Once again he showed his composure to take his chance when it fell to him, but he did more than just score a goal today.
The Star rated his performance as a 7/10, with Joe Crann adding:
“A real bright spark on a tough afternoon. Led the line willingly and looked full of energy, showed constant determination and was the man who popped up with the equaliser.”
Sheffield Wednesday’s new hero
It’s very easy to get carried away with a player like Cadamarteri. But Rohl continues to entrust him with the starting spot and Cadamarteri continues to deliver.
Despite his youthful age, he plays like a player who’s been playing first-team football for a number of years, with his positioning in the box and work ethic that of a player who’s played at a high level for a long time.
He’s immediately won over the hearts of Wednesday fans and despite this desperate situation that the Owls still find themselves in, Cadamarteri continues to shine and deliver the goods.
He’s got a lot of pressure riding on his shoulders now after showing what he can do. But he’s showing no signs of slowing down and neither are Wednesday, who grounded out an ugly, but vital win today.
