Sheffield Wednesday drew 1-1 at home against Championship rivals Coventry City in the FA Cup tonight.
Sheffield Wednesday welcomed Coventry City to Hillsborough for a second time in as many matches tonight.
Last weekend, the two met in the Championship and the Sky Blues earned a 2-1 win, though tonight’s meeting was in the FA Cup fourth round.
The Owls thumped Cardiff City 4-0 in their opening FA Cup clash this season whilst Coventry put six past Oxford United to get to this stage.
Tonight’s meeting though was much tighter; Sheffield Wednesday had plenty of the ball in the first half but neither goalkeeper was really tested, until Victor Torp nestled a strike from range in the top corner of the Wednesday net.
Wednesday were again dominant in the second half; they looked to hit the flanks a bit more and attack Coventry that way, and they eventually found an equalising goal through the ever-impressive Djeidi Gassama.

One Owls player who impressed tonight, especially in the first half, was Gassama.
The Frenchman has started Sheffield Wednesday’s last six games now and he seems to be growing in confidence and ability every week.
Tonight, the former PSG talent was electric, especially in the opening exchanges when he was picking the ball up deep and driving at Coventry, showcasing his dribbling ability to skip past several Coventry players on different occasions.

Although Sheffield Wednesday remain in a perilous league position, with wins proving hard to come by and very little investment coming from the hierarchy, there’s a lot to be positive about.
Danny Rohl is an asset and he’s rapidly making stars out of what looked like some very ordinary players at the start of the season.
And Gassama is one of those players.
In the last few weeks he’s really come to life; his best attributes were summed tonight when he managed to get on the ball deep, turn a player or two and burst forward, like Crann alludes to.
He did that throughout the first half and managed to pick out a couple of decent passes, and on another night he might have had an assist to his name.
He and Anthony Musaba give Wednesday a lot of energy and dynamism going forward and now it seems like a case of trial and error for Rohl, who opted to stat two strikers tonight, with mixed results.
