Sheffield Wednesday host Watford in the Championship on Wednesday night.

Sheffield Wednesday see Watford head to Hillsborough tomorrow night, in what is the Owls’ third-straight home game.

The last two have seen Coventry City visit S6; the Sky Blues won the league encounter 2-1 but the two teams drew 1-1 in the FA Cup fourth round tie last week.

And Watford will be looking to deal the Owls a third-straight league defeat tomorrow.

Former Barnsley boss Valerien Ismael is the man in charge and he’s enjoying a steady first season in at the club, with the Hornets currently sitting in 10th and with just one defeat in nine games in all competitions.

Sheffield Wednesday remain in 23rd, but now with a six-point gap to safety.

Sheffield Wednesday team news latest

Cameron Dawson looks set to miss out again after missing the last outing with a hand injury.

Josh Windass was rested for the last outing vs Coventry and looks set to return to the squad for Watford, whilst George Byers missed the Coventry game through illness; he may well be left out tomorrow night amid reports that he could be moved on before the transfer window shuts.

Dominic Iorfa and Juan Delgado remain longer-term absentees for the Owls.

How Danny Rohl might line up against Watford

Expect James Beadle to start in goal and the impressive Pierec Charles to be on the bench should Dawson be injured.

The defence held up fairly well against a strong Coventry side last time out, so we should see an unchanged back line; Pol Valentin hasn’t offered much on the right and so a change could be made there, with Gui Siqueira and Liam Palmer options.

Momo Diaby continues to step up his recovery and could be in line for his first league start under Rohl.

Rohl could also revert back to one striker with Ike Ugbo potentially starting ahead of Bailey Cadamarteri, who was quiet in the last game vs Coventry; that would open the door for Windass to potentially come back into the XI as a no.10.

Here’s how we think Sheffield Wednesday might line up vs Watford…
