Sheffield Wednesday head to Norwich City in the Championship tomorrow night.

Sheffield Wednesday head to Carrow Road for the first time since 2020 on Wednesday night, for what’s shaped up to be an intriguing clash in the Championship.

The Owls go into this one unbeaten in three after a draw vs Leicester City, backed up by wins over Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City respectively.

Wednesday are now in 23rd place of the table and eight points from safety, compared to Norwich City who sit in 13th having lost just one of their last five.

The last time these two teams met at Carrow Road, the Canaries ran out as 2-1 victors, with Josh Windass scoring Wednesday’s goal.

Sheffield Wednesday team news for Norwich City

Sheffield Wednesday have been dealt a bitter blow ahead of this one, with Dominic Iorfa now ruled out for an extended period after sustaining a muscle injury against Blackburn Rovers earlier in the month.

He joins the likes of Juan Delgado and Momo Diaby on the sidelines, though the latter is stepping up his return to action, recently featuring in an U21s game for the Owls.

Callum Paterson looks set to return to the side after missing the Stoke City game through illness.

Club captain Barry Bannan is an admirer of Paterson’s, previously labelling him as an ‘important’ member of the team.

How will the Owls line up tomorrow night?

Given recent form, we shouldn’t see too many changes to the Wednesday side that won away at Stoke City.

It wasn’t the prettiest of games, but Danny Rohl’s side got the job done.

This game vs Norwich though will be a much tougher one though, so the Owls will once again need to be at their very best to come away from Carrow Road with anything.

Expect an unchanged side apart from the return of Paterson to the XI, should he be fit to do so, with the 33-year-old Marvin Johnson potentially dropping to the bench.

Johnson has done well since coming back into the fold, but Paterson has become an important player under Rohl, with his energy and work-rate fitting in with the new style of play.
