Sheffield Wednesday earned another massive three points today, beating Stoke City 1-0 at the bet365 Stadium.
It’s a third win of the season for Sheffield Wednesday and a first win away from Hillsborough, thanks to a late goal from Anthony Musaba.
The Dutchman came off the bench and fired the Owls to victory after a Cameron Dawson penalty save kept Sheffield Wednesday in the game.
Danny Rohl now finds his side in 23rd place of the table and eight points adrift after Darren Moore’s Huddersfield Town drew with Bristol City.

Of course, the win generates a huge amount of praise for Rohl and for the players too.
They dug deep, beating a stubborn Stoke City side who were desperate for a win to prevent themselves from nearing Sheffield Wednesday in the bottom three.
And after full-time, journalist Rob Staton gave his verdict on X, posting:
It wasn’t the prettiest of games today and nobody expected it to be.
Stoke went into this one in terrible form and with boss Alex Neil coming under huge amounts of pressure after a poor season so far, so the visit of bottom club Wednesday presented him with a chance to save his job.
But defeat piles more misery on him, whilst the man in the opposite dugout today continues to go from strength to strength.
The great escape is on
Before Rohl arrived, nobody gave Sheffield Wednesday a chance in the race for survival this season.
And even after his first few games, and that first win against Rotherham, many still backed Wednesday to finish in dead last.
But three games unbeaten and back-to-back wins has taken Sheffield Wednesday off of the foot of the table and to within three wins of safety.
There is, of course, a long way to go yet. There’ll be more defeats and poor performances coming but right now, Sheffield Wednesday are firing on all cylinders, with Rohl having instilled an unbelievable amount of optimism into the club over the past week.
The points are coming on the board now and everyone is pulling in the same direction, with another huge game coming up against Norwich City in midweek.
