Sheffield Wednesday have another opportunity to make ground on the top six this week as they take on high-flying Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night.
Danny Rohl’s side dropped points on Saturday lunchtime with a 1-1 draw against Preston North End, but still managed to climb to ninth place in the Championship table.
After the game, Rohl was not shy about criticising his players for their mentality, and suggested a different approach is needed at Hillsborough.
Sheffield Wednesday will have the perfect chance to change things up and get back to winning ways when they take on Blackburn in S6 this week.
But, their opponents are in great form after winning four in a row, including getting the better of Leeds United and Middlesbrough in recent weeks.

The Sheffield Wednesday squad will be missing two players for certain, with Olaf Kobacki still out for at least a week or two, while Akin Famewo is due back in March 2025.
Callum Paterson may well miss out, too, after picking up a knee injury in training last week. Rohl described Paterson’s issue as ‘not so bad’ but insisted the veteran will need some ‘recovery time’.
Thankfully, Sheffield Wednesday’s lineup for the Blackburn game will include Barry Bannan, after the Owls skipper served his one-game suspension over the weekend.
Meanwhile, Blackburn will be without Scott Wharton and Andreas Weimann. The pair are both suffering knee injuries and are expected to be out until the New Year.
