Sheffield Wednesday wing-back Marvin Johnson is the subject of growing interest from Championship hopefuls Ipswich Town.
Ipswich Town were loosely linked with Johnson, 33, last summer, and now their interest in the Sheffield Wednesday favourite has been reignited.
Johnson has come back into the fold under Danny Rohl. He’s now featured 13 times in the Championship, scoring three and assisting two more, having instantly become a key member of the XI under the new boss.
Reports today have claimed that Ipswich have been in talks to sign Johnson and that they’ve already seen a £1million bid rejected.

Rohl though may feel otherwise; he only has Reece James as his other left-back and so cover would be needed, but replacing a left-back like Johnson who can score and create goals won’t be easy, or cheap.
And that could suggest why Ipswich are willing to fork out a seven-figure fee for the player.
But Sheffield Wednesday fans largely seem to agree that the club, given their poor ongoing financial status, can’t be turning down this amount of money for Johnson.
Here’s what some of them have said on social media:
