Sheffield Wednesday may have to cross another rumoured transfer target off of their list.

The Wednesday-linked players MacAuley Bonne (Charlton), Nick Powell (Stoke), David Turnbull (Celtic) and Stewart Downing (Blackburn) have all either signed for or are about to sign for clubs other than the Owls.

The Dutch winger, who according to Mirror (May 19, page 70) was the subject of interest from Sheffield Wednesday and a string of other English Championship sides, appears to be bound for the German top-flight.

Kicker reports Becker is close to a commitment with Union Berlin, who will appear for the first time ever in this season’s Bundesliga.

Sheffield Wednesday’s search for a pacy winger may yet reach a positive conclusion, however, with a deal for the freed Cardiff City winger, Kadeem Harris, now close, according to The Star.

Harris should replace Rolando Aarons at Hillsborough. As reported by us this morning, the Newcastle United man has received contact from Panathinaikos, according to SDNA in Greece.
