With George Byers and Will Vaulks both being linked with late exits from Sheffield Wednesday, there could also be a third.
Byers looks set to join Blackpool as he undergoes a medical with the League One club, whilst it’s also been revealed that Rotherham United have enquired about signing Vaulks.
But a third Sheffield Wednesday player in Lee Gregory could also be on the move today, with Joe Crann revealing that Derby County are still working on a deal to sign the veteran striker.
The Rams have been linked with Michael Smith throughout the month but he now looks set to stay, with Paul Warne turning his attention to the 35-year-old Gregory who is out of contract at Hillsborough this summer.

With Smith seemingly back in the fold under Danny Rohl, it looks highly likely that Gregory might be allowed to leave before tonight’s 11pm transfer deadline.
Given his age and contract situation, he’s definitely surplus to requirements at Sheffield Wednesday, but he showed in his two seasons with the Owls in League One that he can still score goals at that level.
He netted 28 League One goals across both seasons and for promotion-chasers Derby County, it could be a shrewd capture until the summer.
But Wednesday need to be careful what other players they let go; with no midfielders looking set to join, as of yet anyway, letting one or both of Byers and Vaulks go could prove costly.
