Sheffield Wednesday look set to miss out on signing Josh Onomah with a move to Stoke City now expected to go through.
Wednesday have been hugely busy in the market of late with Xisco Munoz bolstering his side.
Since lift-off for the Munoz era with the deal to sign Juan Delgado on July 24th, Wednesday have been striking deal after deal.
Ashley Fletcher, Pol Valentin, Di’Shon Bernard, Bambo Diaby, Anthony Musaba and Devis Vasquez have all arrived at Hillsborough.
Munoz wants more but one target seemingly won’t be heading for South Yorkshire…
Sheffield Wednesday to miss out on Josh Onomah
Reports from the Sheffield Star last week claimed that Wednesday were keen to bring free agent Josh Onomah back to the club.

The Owls took Onomah on loan from Tottenham Hotspur back in 2018 and he managed 15 appearances during his time at Hillsborough.
Now available on a free transfer after leaving Preston North End, Onomah is attracting Championship interest.

A move back to Wednesday seemingly won’t be happening now though with Stoke City pushing for a deal.
Onomah recently joined Stoke on trial and appears to have done enough to convince Alex Neil to sign him up.
TEAMtalk claim that Stoke are now ready to give Onomah a one-year contract with the option of another year.
The 26-year-old is expected to accept the offer and attempt to kickstart his career with the Potters.
Onomah hasn’t really lived up to the potential he had at Tottenham and the last few years have been tricky for him.
This move means that Onomah will be in line to play against Wednesday on December 9th before a potential Hillsborough return on April 13th.
