Sheffield Wednesday have discovered yet another new twist in the transfer saga surrounding Duncan McGuire.
Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn Rovers are battling to sign McGuire from Orlando City.
At first it looked like the Owls were leading the race, then it was reported that the 22-year-old was flying to England to undergo a medical with Rovers.
But then, a last-minute hitch meant that Sheffield Wednesday were back in the race. Now though, it looks like Blackburn might be edging ahead of Sheffield Wednesday once again.

Blackburn Rovers are currently overseeing a big money departure with youngster Adam Wharton reportedly closing in on a move to Crystal Palace.
That move has also faced its hurdles in the past 24 hours, and it looked like the move was off according to BBC journalist Andy Bayes.
He says that the move was close to collapsing last night, potentially putting a halt on any incomings at Ewood Park.
Now though, Bayes says that the move is back on and close to going through, meaning that Rovers can press on with incoming business; no doubt, a move for McGuire.

What a chaotic 24 hours it’s been where McGuire is concerned.
He’ll no doubt be tired and so too will those at Sheffield Wednesday; especially if it is Blackburn who eventually complete the signing.
Danny Rohl and his team run the risk passing the 11pm transfer deadline with no new players in, other than James Beadle and Ike Ugbo who signed earlier in the month.
Today could go one of two ways for the Owls who’ll no doubt have plenty of names on their list, but with such little time to make something happen, it’s starting to look very desperate for those at Hillsborough.
A striker remains a priority and McGuire would be a huge signing. Though it certainly seems like Blackburn are back in front now, as they had originally McGuire coming in for a medical and so their offer seems the more favourable one for Orlando.
