Sheffield Wednesday look set to have sealed seven transfers by the end of the week.
The Owls acted quick once the transfer opened last month and have now snapped up Yan Valery, Max Lowe, Ben Hamer, Jamal Lowe, Svante Ingelsson and Olaf Kobacki.
They have also been boosted by Barry Bannan, Liam Palmer, Josh Windass and Dominic Iorfa all penning new contracts.
Sheffield Wednesday aren’t finished there though, having been linked with a number of players in recent weeks.
With James Beadle set to become their seventh addition this week, Wednesday could continue their pursuit of new attackers after a season really lacking in goals.
Sheffield Wednesday handed boost in Scott Wright pursuit
The Yorkshire outfit have already approached Rangers over a move for Scott Wright, who managed only seven starts in the Scottish Premiership last term.
The winger netted a total of four goals in 33 games across all competitions, but could now be tempted by a move to England.
Wright still has a year left on his contract at the Ibrox Stadium and with a number of players expected to leave on a free transfer or at the end of their loan spell, it was unclear whether Wednesday would be able to capture the attacker.
However, Rangers Review have now reported that Wright is ‘expected’ to depart the Scottish club this summer.
Is he good enough to impress in the Championship?
The 26-year-old has managed 47 goal contributions in 211 matches across his senior career, but has only managed ten goals in 126 games in the Premiership.
His goal record isn’t great, but Wright has shown a lot of promise at Rangers and just hasn’t managed to earn himself a consistent run in the team.
With only a year left on his deal, the Scot could be available for cheap this summer and could prove to be a real coup if Danny Rohl can get the best out of him.
He has also played across the attack, as well as in midfield too, giving Wednesday plenty of options of where he can be deployed.
